Bookies Licking Their Chops with NHL Western Conference Finals

Posted on by admin in Sports News

NHLThe 2014 Western Conference Finals are here and it is déjà vu all over again as the same two teams the Chicago Blackhawks and Los Angeles as last year face off to move on towards the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Kings are hoping to fare better that last year’s final as the hungry Hawks beat them handily in 6 games. The Blackhawks are currently the favorite to repeat as Stanley Cup champions as bookies have them listed as a -150 favorite to do so. The road to the Western Conference Finals for both these team was anything but easy!

The kings are coming off two grueling seven games series one of those was versus the San Jose Sharks where they trailed 3-0 and came back to take the series by winning 4 straight games.

Bookies have the Blackhawks favored to win the series between these two teams and mostly point towards the fatigue factor for LA. But neither bettors nor bookies should be two quick to count the Kings out as the already defied the odds a few times this year. This year’s Kings team plays it best hockey when their backs are against the wall.

The Blackhawks survived an early scare going down 0-2 to the St. Louis Blues but then were able to quickly right the ship, tie the series and eventually go on to win it. The Hawks also faced a hungry Minnesota Wild team that gave them all they could handle as the Hawks almost got caught looking ahead.

Will the Chicago Blackhawks be able to win back to back Stanley Cup Championships, bookies sure think so!
