Bookies Say Betting On The NFL In Week 16 Could Be A Little Tricky
December 21, 2012 in Gambling News
As the NFL season is coming to a close there are still many things that are undecided! With the NFL Playoffs just a few weeks away week 16 will hopefully answer some questions as to the NFL Playoff scenario as well as which team will be in line for next year’s 1st round draft pick.
In the AFC one of the most interesting head to head match ups will be the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals travel to Pittsburgh and have a one game advantage over the Steelers; the Bengals can actually clinch a playoff berth with a win. The Steelers won the last matchup between these two teams back in October 24-17. The Current betting line on this game is Steelers -4 and the total is currently sitting at 43.
In the NFC East it is still anyone’s for the taking as the top three teams are all 8 and 6. The Washington Redskins are in position to clinch a playoff berth with a win and a New York Giants loss plus a Chicago Bears loss and a Minnesota Vikings loss. So as you can see the division is still too close to call with so many what ifs. The Redskins travel to Philadelphia whose only role can be that of a spoiler. The Redskins are a 4.5 point favorites and the total is currently sitting at 44.5. Speculation is that RG 3 will be healthy enough to get the start!
It looks like the 1st round draft pick next year will be awarded to either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Jacksonville Jaguars who both sit at a dismal 2-12. The Jaguars will have to face the high flying Patriots in week 16 and the Titans in week 17. The Chiefs on the other hand will face the Colts in week 16 and then need to travel to Denver to go up against Peyton Manning and crew for their final game of the season. Both teams are in total disarray and could use all the help that they can get from next year’s top draft picks!
